Site/FF Q&A
There are loads of Rumors in FF7, like more Chocobo colors, more WEAPON monsters and the ability to revive Aeris. Some of these are true, others aren't, and I'll tell you which ones you should believe and which ones you shouldn't.

There are more than one version of FF7:

This is true. The version of FF7 that was orignally released in Japan didn't contain Ruby or Emerald, the Red and Green arrows you can get and more random battles. All of this was "added" into the Western (US/UK) versions. Hwoever, when the Japanise heard about this, the Western version was translated into Japanise and released in Japan undere the name: Final Fantasy 7 International.

True, False or Unconfirmed:
True

A secret cave in the Sleeping Forest/Ancient cave:

Not sure really. After entering and waking the Sleeping Forest, go to the next sceen, and go right (after entering). You should see a vine leading up to a cave. However, you can't climb the vine. Some sources say that the vine leaded to a cave that was later removed from FF7. What the cave contained is un-known. Some people say it helped with the Aeris revival sub-quest, other say it contained weapons and/or materia that were later removed. Interesting...

True, False or Unconfirmed:
Caves existence - True,
It was removed from the game - Unconfirmed
(Follow this link for more information: The Final Fantasy VII Citadel > Secrets & Mysteries)

Play as Sephiroth:

There are loads of different versions of this rumor:
1. Get 12 1/35 soldiers and ask the sleeping man to make you a clone.
2. Do the same, but instead, Sephiroth will join you.
3. Beat the Midgar Snake, and do it under level 15 without getting any hits Go to the cave, kill 50 monsters, getting no hits taken away. Go to the next path (on the left side) and you will fight the Turks. Kill them, and Sephiroth will come out impressed by your skills and scared. He will make himself look stupid then he will join you. You will learn some cool secrets about Cloud and Sephiroth.

True, False or Unconfirmed
Proabaly false, however, you can get Sephiroth in your party. He helps Cloud in battles during the flashback (in Kalm), and if you use a GameShark, you can get him in your party, and even as the leader.

Revive Aeris:

If you were nice to Aeris on Disk 1 and let her be-friend a General, return to the General on Disk 2 and he'll ask where Aeris is. You tell him what happened, and he'll say it is possible to revive her. Go to Aeris ' church, and you will see her ghost. After speeking to her, she will ask you to re-join your group (if you wereen't nice to her, she will tell you the location of a rare item). You will than go and revive her, with the help of the General.

True, False or Unconfirmed:
False, however, you can see her ghost in her church. rumor was put on the net by an ex member of Square that this was part of a revival sub quest, however, he then later said he made this up. What I put above was basically what the guy said (I actually forgot most of it - if anyone knows the whole "story", let me know by e-mailing me at: PeteFF7@.co.uk)

Fight Jenova-REBIRTH:

If you are able to revive Aeris, Jenove will throw a fourth monster at you (not including Jenova-SYTHESIS who you fight in the crater near the end of the game) - Jenova-REBIRTH.

True, False or Unconformed:
False. If you can't revive Aeris, how are you expected to fight this boss?

Get Excalibur:

First, obtain 8 KoR (Knights of Round) Materia and master them. Then fly around and you'll run into Holy Weapon (it's kind of like DoomGaze from FF3. It's like a random battle so you can't see it coming). Make sure you are leveled and equip all 8 mastered KOTR's on Cloud's Ultima Weapon sword. Cloud will be the only one who can damage Holy Weapon so be prepared. Once defeated, the game will go into CG and Ultima Weapon will morph into Excalibur however, all of your KoR materia will be destoryed.

True, False or Unconfirmed:
False (proabably). Who here wants to master 8 KoR materia stones? It would take ages to do so, and it isn't mentioned in any stratage guide, so it's most proabably false.

Watch the Loveless play:

You've proabably heard of this. Cid mentioned it at the start of Disk 3 and it was mentioned during the Introduction. Anyway, It is said that the empty treasre chest at the Corel Prision contains them. Once you have them, return to the Gold Saucer and visit the theatre. With the ticket, you can then watch the 'Loveless' play.

True, False or Unconfirmed:
False. The treasure chests are empty - they have already been opened.

Extra Chocobos:
There are quite a few. Here are some of my favourites:

Silver Chocobo
Feed and breed two S-Class chocobos, and there's a small chance you'll receive the Silver Chocobo. This chocobo is capable of travelling underwater. Also, if you talk to the right people you can enter space.

Rainbow Chocobo
One way to obtain it is to go under the swamp with a Silver Chocobo. You'll fight the Rainbow Chocobo as a boss and be able to ride it after you beat it. It has the power to flight like the Highwind and can go under the swamps like a Silver Chocobo.

Blue and Red Chocobo
It's been suggested that the Red and Blue chocobos are obtainable. You can find Red and Blue chocobos in the chocobo races, so this rumour has some validity. No method is known on how to obtain these chocobos.

True, False or Unconformed:
Blue Chocobo: True. You need one to breed a Black Chocobo (but it is rather light. Perhaps they are refering to a darker blue Chocobo)
The Others: False.

Extra Weapon monsters:

It is rumored that you can fight three other Weapon monsters:

Earth Weapon
This Weapon is disguised as a mountain! Walk around each mountain, and you're supposed to find it eventually.

Onyx Weapon
This Weapon is underneath the Midgar Swamp. You have to breed a Silver Chocobo and then race it up to S class. Then it can go underwater. Go down while on top of the Midgar Swamp and there is Onyx Weapon.

Turqoise Weapon
Travel around the shores near Costa Del Sol, and you might see a tentacle waving about in the shallow water (like with Ruby in the desert. Make contact with it, and you'll fight Turqoise Weapon.

Ture False or Unconformed:
False
